Who said there was anything wrong with a little pink? Or if you’re like us…a LOT of pink! And who better to serve as inspiration than Glinda the Good Witch, the ethereal fairy godmother from the Wizard of Oz book, movie, and the play Wicked (we realize she is officially a witch, but there is some debate on whether or not she is a fairy, a princess, or a witch)?
Glinda the Good Witch serves as a representative for goodness (it’s in the name!), morality, and of course all things feminine! It’s no wonder that we at Balloonzilla, along with several of our Friendors, were inspired by this Sapphic Icon™, and decided to create some Wedding Inspo using a real life couple!
The shoot took place in the historic Maxwell House. Once the decor was all set, it was so lovely it had us feeling like there really is No Place Like Home! The grand fireplace allowed us to stretch our creative muscles and bring out a billowing, bubbly design that had everyone believing in magic! And the magic didn’t end there…in addition to the fireplace decor, we created a majestic flowing balloon backdrop for the ceremony, as well as providing decor for the balcony. With color blocked pinks and gold stars, these balloons were the perfect statement piece for an enchanting event!
We especially loved working with Yanet and Iliana, whose love for each other was the star of the show. Plus, it didn’t hurt that they brought their adorable Pomeranian, Penny!
